New York City celebrates the 51st anniversary of Nigeria‘s Independence this weekend!
- Thursday Night Welcome Party
- Friday Cultural Night
- Saturday’s Nigeria Independence Day Parade
Once a one-day event, became a three-days festival to expand Nigerian-American relations. 2014 marks the 29th annual parade and is the only parade in NYC by an African nation. As in recent years, the parade plans to proceed down 2nd Avenue ending at the Nigeria House. Throughout the activities, vendors provide traditional foods and merchandise. Colorful live performances and dancing are ongoing. Celebrate the Green and White!
