Today, Saturday October 11th, NYC is the host to yet another ethnic parade in Brooklyn, the 19th Annual Panamanian Pre-Independence Day Parade, commemorating Panama‘s separation from Columbia. This year celebrates 100 years exactly since the construction of the Panama Canal!
Each year, participants and spectators of all ages wear their traditional colorful outfits. The parade proceeds with incredible bands and terrific bugle corps, followed by a Christian marching band proclaiming praises to God, then a float full of beauty queens, and ending with group of mischievous clowns. Que Viva Panama!
