A ministry leader in Nepal reported 5,000 dead. More than 9,000 people are injured and thousands are still missing. And this is just in the more urban areas. He says the people are experiencing panic and terror. He and his family are “sleeping outside in the open ground under a small tent.”
The need is not only for the immediate—water, food, blankets, medicine, tents, relief workers, etc.—but also for what will help people rebuild their homes and lives. A number of groups are responding with aid and are acting now in the love of Christ. They want to give them hope; God’s love will shine in the darkness.
